Well, I wanted to yank the sucker out. And I prayed for the dentist to take immediate action. He did. Tooth is gone.
Yep, he said that what I was describing: radiating and intense pain, which became worse with heat...that was because of my awful wisdom tooth. So he took it out. Just like that. OUCH.

I guess I'm glad that I didn't have too much warning. I would have stressed.
So now it's mushy foods for me. No hot coffee, no carbonation, no straws... no yummy beef enchiladas that are baking in the oven as we speak. (sigh) That's the hardest part of dental work for me: the inability to EAT what I want!!
Right now I can't eat anything anyway because I'm still bleeding. Sorry to gross you out.
I do wish I had known to eat beforehand, as I've only had a dinner roll since supper last night. I'll start to feel dizzy soon if I don't eat!
Oh, and we did JUST pay off the dentist. But this time I was smart enough to put A LOT of money in medical spending, so I could get my teeth fixed. So this little unplanned ouchie did not cost us anything out of pocket!!
In other news, I'm so happy and feel so blessed to get so many awesome freebies from a friend today!! It was like Christmas!! I even got a pair of jeans for Fred that fit him perfectly. And he is a total gifts person, so this was great for both of us!!!
Hope your mouth feels better! I love your family pictures! God bless.
ReplyDeleteDitto on the family photos - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your tooth is out. I'm going to e-mail you a story about what happended to Brett when he had his wisdom teeth removed. Too funny/gross to share in comments, but you are going to be SO sympathetic!
Feel better!
(Man, enchiladas are my FAVORITE!)
i'm glad the tooth is gone. i'm so sorry for the pain and non-eating!
ReplyDeleteWenders, I'm so sorry to hear that! How are you feeling now? Tooth pain is awful. I'm glad at least that once your mouth heals, you won't have to deal with that pain you were having before the tooth was removed.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have a baby than have dental work done! At least you get a cuddly baby when you leave...who wants to take home a tooth! So glad you're ordeal is (almost) over :-)
ReplyDeleteTrish, yep, I agree! Labor really was much easier than the tooth ordeal. And I couldn't even take mine home, because it cracked and broke, and had to be taken out all-yucky-like. Ugh. Not that I would have wanted to save it anyway...
ReplyDeleteSo start saying prayers, guys, because the other wisdom teeth are coming out in April. And next time, sometimes PUH-lease tell my husband to be waiting with a mint chocolate chip milkshake from Braums upon my return!!
And Ann-Marie, I did atempt to eat some of the enchiladas...that was a mistake. I may have forever ruined my enchilada appetite! They never taste good mixed with blood.
ReplyDeletesometimes= someone. oops. I'd better go to bed!
ReplyDeleteWendy, we're praying you're feeling better today. It's good that you got the tooth taken care of but it will be painful for awhile. It's less than 6 weeks before we can come see you. Love, Papaw & Mimi
ReplyDeleteOh girl.. youch!! I just got my top two wisdom teeth in about a year ago and I probably need to get them pulled as they've slightly shifted one of my front teeth.. I'm so afraid to do it though!!! I also have a cavity that's needed to be filled for 2 years.. I'm SUCH a whoos.. give me a csection over a filling any day!
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for you...I am so sorry.
ReplyDeletehappy healing :o)
~simply~
I am relieved for you, knowing the naughty tooth is gone! Glad you came to help me haul off junk :) Always good to see you! Btw...what is your email address?
ReplyDeleteTooth pain is the worst. I hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it's over with ... I think it would hurt much more to still have it in place don't you?
