Hi Wendy, that looks like fun! I love projects where there is no wrong way to do it.
Ooh, that is really neat! Looks like something my girls would enjoy too. My girls started an in-house "Art Club", so this would be a good one for water colors.
Hey Wendy~ I thought I would let you know that I borrowed this idea today for my kids. It started out being a project for just me and my 5 yr. old. But I was doodling tonight in my squares, and the next thing I knew my two girls joined in. It was fun! I love to see their personalities come out. We ended up filling in the boxes more than just making the frame, and it still looks pretty neat. I'm really not much of an artist, but this project looked simple enough that I thought I would give it a try. My kids kept asking me, "What are you doing Mom?" And, "What are you going to do with it?" I think they couldn't believe I would actually sit down and relax by doing a project for no reason, other than to relax :) Anyway, thanks for the post, I enjoyed it much.~Erin
I found you on pinterest and just had to try this out! So I did and I blogged about it. You can see it here. I just wanted to let you know that I linked to you for credit. :) Thanks for the fun idea. I loved it!http://www.laniejandco.com/2013/11/watercolor-doodles.html
