This post actually took off before I was done with it. ;) Debbie, I lowered a large wall mirror, and had them look in it-- but I told them to ONLY do what I said, step by step. "First, look at the shape of your face" We talked about different face shapes, and then they drew theirs. "Next, what shape are your eyes?" We examined, and drew those, everything in black crayon only, to start. Then noses...and so much fun with the mouths, as you can see. Next the looked at their hair. Last, we added color, step by step, and a background color to finish it off. They did amazingly well!

I love it ! Look at the detail in those picures. Wendy did you have them look at a picture of themselves or look in a mirror or just wing it ?
