In other news, I took the plunge and moved the drafting table right smack in the middle of my dining room. Why? Because no one wants to work in isolation (okay, maybe some people do, but not me!) I needed more light, more space, and more accessibility.
Lately it's been all about cups. I actually have reasons:
1) I love coffee. And tea.
2) I drink coffee during my Bible study, and often do my best thinking then.
3) Mimi has given me some very special cups, with memories attached.
This afternoon we celebrated my beautiful little sister's 29th birthday. Look at her: gorgeous, petite, uber-talented in all areas... she's a deep thinker, artistic, kind, empathetic, honest beyond the "social norm" in an attempt to help others. I deeply respect and admire this lady.
And I can't believe my daughter is almost as tall as Julie is!! After celebrating Julie's birthday, we went out to a local trail to take some family pictures. Here's a teaser of the photos to come...
My adorable Dash
We told the kids that if they did well with the picture-taking, then they could climb the 100 Steps. Bribing boys is ridiculously easy.To top the day off, my dear friend brought lamb masala and naam takeout for me!
Sometimes the blessings are closer than they appear, and we only need to look around.

Sounds like an awesome day!Your sister is beautiful-what a blessing she must be from your description of her!
Awesome pictures of the cups, Wenders!
Thank you so much for the sweet things you said.
If I hadn't been wearing heels in the pic of me and Izzy, she'd really be getting pretty close to my height! I love that pic.
I love the cups, too!
